BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
The Workshop space is available to members for rehearsal throughout the year, on a sign-up basis, for their own personal development in the theatre arts. It can also be reserved for performance, within TAW guidelines.
We have an enormous library that takes up an entire wall, full of scripts and other theatre related material, available to all members.
The opportunity to work on scenes with other professional actors, writers and directors.
The Workshop frequently offers a series of Master Classes taught by our members of exceptional talent and background. e.g. Acting Basics, Musical Theatre, Voice Production, Shakespeare Workshop, Writers’ Workshop. These are available to members in good standing at a nominal charge and sometimes at no charge at all.
Actors can bring monologues, songs, or audition scenes to the Workshop on Monday nights, and present them for reaction and helpful critique before the casting session. The work can also be for personal development; it does not have to be for casting purposes. We help each other grow!
Writers can bring scenes from a work-in-progress and see it read onstage by our actors on Monday nights. Additionally, the theatre is available for writers to present alternate evening presentations of the entire work before an invited audience of workshop members as well as family and friends.
