Classic Nights

TAW’s Classic Nights are concert readings of great plays from the past. Reservations are not required and admission is complimentary — though donations are gratefully accepted.

February 10 and 11: “Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been?” 
A powerful retelling of The McCarthy Hearings — when one question could destroy lives and careers. Written by Eric Bentley, Directed by Mark Graham

March 9 and 10: “Blithe Spirit”

A hilarious take on the social elite of England. Written by Noel Coward, Directed by  David Rogers

April 13 and 14: “The Seagull”
Romantic and artistic conflicts in Czarist Russia. Written by Anton Chekhov,  Directed by  Jackob G. Hofmann

Types of Performances:

Playwrights Festival: A performance of original scenes, one-acts or full length plays written and developed at TAW.

Classic Night: A concert reading of great plays from the past. Classic Nights require no reservations and admission is complimentary. Donations are gratefully accepted

Alternate Night: A theatrical event initiated by a TAW member.
